It’s that time in between Christmas and New Years where no one knows exactly what they’re doing or what’s going on. Amidst all of the holiday gatherings and feasts, this is a time to celebrate and relax. Over the past couple days, Shane and I have attended four family gatherings and we have a couple more coming up before the break is over. The Christmas holidays are always special, spending extra time with loved ones and being thankful for everything we have.
Speaking of being thankful, I have been lucky enough to have worked with Vicki Bartel, the wonderful photographer that takes all of my blog photos! She is so sweet and kind, I would highly recommend working with her! She always knows how to make me feel comfortable in front of the camera and be myself.
This outfit is a go-to for me, a comfortable and cute jean, a wrap top, accented by a statement jacket and of course some winter accessories. This shearling jacket has become trendy over the last year and I spotted this particular one on Julia Engel’s blog, Gal Meets Glam, last winter when she went on a trip to Iceland. Surprisingly enough, it’s from Abercrombie and Fitch, a store I haven’t frequented since high school, but has some great basics that I’ve been stocking up on with recent boxing day sales.
I feel a similar way about wrap tops as I do about wrap dresses, you can never go wrong! They’re always flattering, hugging the smallest part of your waist. These jeans are from JCrew and I’m obsessed with them! The lighter wash allows for daily casual wear but the accented buttons add a little something extra.
I hope you all have been able to take some time off from work and recharge your batteries, and continue to do so! I hope you had a very Merry Christmas and wishing you all the best in the new year! 2018, we’re ready for you!
